Tickets for the Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 shows are onsale Friday from 9am. Gigs run throughout February at three venues, and "unlike other, lesser Awards ceremonies, our awards are voted for by genuine music fans", they say - so, expect to hear genuine music.

IRON MAIDEN will be playing their first ever stadium show in the UK at the Twickenham Rugby Stadium in London on Saturday 5th July 2008 as part of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008.

Tickets will be on sale from Friday and are expected to sell fast, so, be ready, Eddy.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and the E Street Band are playing at the Arsenal Emirates Stadium on 30th May 2008. Trivia fans take note: this will be the first gig that the venue has ever played host to.

John Arthur Johnson (1878 - 1946), a.k.a Jack Johnson, the "Galveston Giant", was an American boxer and Heavyweight Champion of the World, as well as a fan of opera and admirer of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Jack Hody Johnson (born 1975), on the other hand, is a Hawaii-born musician, filmmaker, and surfer. JACK JOHNSON tickets for his 2nd July Hyde Park gig are on sale here 9am Thursday. We don't know if he likes opera as well.

Tickets for RADIOHEAD's London gigs go on sale on Friday at 10am. Dates are 24th and 25th June, and the venue is Victoria Park, so there will be real wooden trees present. Obviously they've moved on since the days of fake plastic ones.

Incidentally, if you want to download their album and haven't yet, you have until Monday before they take it off the net.

Also on sale tomorrow, NEIL DIAMOND ("Neil Leslie Diamond actually is his real name. Other names such as Eice Cherry and Noah Kaminsky were considered as stage names for Neil, but were never used", according to neildiamondhomepage.com) at the O2, Saturday 21st June.
