If you've bought any tickets today or yesterday you'll have used our new streamlined checkout process already. This should simplify and speed up the buying process, as well as making it easier to get through at busy times. So far we've not had any problems reported, but if you're getting strange messages please let us know (email webmaster at stargreen.com - but please don't send your credit card details that way, it's not secure).
We've introduced it in preparation for 3D Secure (also known as Verified by Visa and Mastercard Securecode), the online equivalent of Chip & Pin. How it works:
- You register your card on the web site of your credit card issuer or bank, and tell them your "personal greeting" and password
- After that, whenever you shop at a participating retailer, you get taken to your card issuer's web site. They show you your personal greeting (to prove it's them) and ask you for your passsword (to prove it's you).
We'll be introducing this first for Maestro card holders, but plan to extend it to all card types in time. Until then, find out more (and how to register) at the appropriate Mastercard or Visa Europe site.
