Heads up, this one's serious. If you've been approached by private sellers of tickets who offer you their Stargreen confirmation mail as "proof" that they're genuine, don't believe them.
- fact 1: it's not hard to write a fake email that looks like it came from Stargreen but that refers to different concerts, different prices, etc etc. We can't stamp our outgoing mail with a holographic sticker of identity, the technology doesn't allow for that. Techies will point out that we could crypto sign them, and we're reviewing that possibility right now, but see also ...
- fact 2: even if the message they send you did genuinely come from us in the first place, what's to stop them sending it onto five other people as well as you?
Stargreen Box Office are an authorized ticket agent - i.e. we get our tickets direct from the promoter/venue - and it's not really our job to support the secondary market. But we're human too and we hate seeing people get ripped off apparently by fraudsters who never send the tickets. If this has happened to you, please get in touch directly with the Police. It won't get you tickets that don't exist, but at least it'll help prevent other people losing their money.
